What you’ll be doing:
Main duties will involve being trained to produce our customised dishes, maintaining quality and consistency every time whilst observing food safety standards and maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
We are looking for a quick learner who will quickly adapt to our kitchen standards helping us continue the effective service while helping in preparation. Ensure we are ready for guests all the times.
Effectively follow policies and procedures to maintain the kitchen that meets highest safety and hygiene standards.
Work towards prepareing and serving customers a Healthy & Tasty Food. Which in turn supports our business tag line “Healthy & Tasty Food”.
You are teamworkers who will enjoy the company of other colleagues and make the work place fun and enjoyable while being more productive.Maintain tidy and clean premises while following clean as you go. Prepare delivery orders and make sure the food is packed with atmost care.Prepare the food for eat in guests and present neatly on plates.
Undertaking food preparation tasks, as directed by the head chef, preparing ingredients, cleaning vegetables, preparing simple dishes, observing correct cooking times and temperatures, using cooking equipment, utensils and machinery (e.g. saucepans, pans, chopping boards, meat slicers), cleaning cooking utensils, and keeping work stations and surfaces clean and tidy etc. Kitchen assistants are sometimes also responsible for restocking the store room and cold room in accordance with the chef’s instructions, for bringing ingredients into the kitchen and for ensuring food is packed and stored in accordance with all applicable food hygiene and safety regulations.
In emergencies, a kitchen assistant must be able to stand in for their superior without the quality being affected.
